Continual works over a 10 year period turned this gravity rail system with a capacity of 200 head per day into a complete mechanised system capable of 700 head of beef per day. The boning complex has a capacity of 400 carcasses per day.

Waroona, Western Australia

F.E.A. designed, manufactured, installed and commissioned complete slaughter floor equipment for a new plant at Waroona. This plant handles up to 600 carcasses per day and is built to standards set by the United States of America’s Department of Agriculture as the produce is mainly for export. It is a production type continuous line operation with much of the equipment automatic or semi-automatic to minimise labour and running costs.

Works were undertaken to upgrade the existing beef floor consisting of a gravity rail system with a capacity of 240 head per day. A complete new intermittent chain system was installed with a new Evisceration Pan System increasing their capacity 420 head per day.

The plant has the capacity of processing 350 head of cattle per day with an average live weight of 850 -950 kgs. The meat is mainly exported to Asian regions.

Abattoir equipment was manufactured and installed for a small slaughter house for pigs and beef. The abattoir was designed to have a throughput of 150 pigs per day and 30 head of cattle per day.
